Embracing Change: From Business Development to Digital Nomad – My Journey of Remote Work, Travel, and Self-Discovery

Updated: Jan 10

PART 1

In July of 2023, I made the decision to resign from my Business Development position. The role had shifted, requiring more travel and a hybrid work structure, no longer aligning with my goals. While many embrace the return to in-person work post-COVID, my deep connection to remote work persists. I find confidence, efficiency, and balance in this setting.

For those of us who entered the workforce during the pandemic, our professional lives unfolded online, making us adept in the digital realm. As a digital marketing and sales professional, the freedom to work from anywhere is invaluable. This, coupled with my anticipation of embracing a digital nomad lifestyle, led me to prioritize flexibility in 2023.

I’m grateful for the knowledge and skills gained in Sales and Business Development. Thanks to mentors and colleagues in healthcare who fostered my growth. Leaving a great company and an incredible team was challenging, but I’m proud of staying true to my values.

This decision allowed me to spend the past 6 months traveling, creating lifelong memories in countries I once only dreamed of visiting. Stay tuned for my next post where I’ll share more about my adventures and experiences during this time. I can’t wait to tell you all about it!
